This course discusses the implementation in release CDLIS 5 of the Medical Certificate rule published in December 2008. The discussion reviews the requirements for the medical certificate and then focuses on the changes related to CDLIS and how those are implemented in CDLIS Release 5.

|
This course focuses on the Change State of Record (CSOR) transaction. Discussion is on the technical aspects associated with successfully completing a CSOR, and in particular resolving suspended CSOR transactions. The course also reviews the changes to the messages involved throughout the CSOR process.

This course presents an overview of the Commercial Driver’s License Information System and is ideal for administrators, including business executives who manage or use processes supported by CDLIS. Developers, technical support staff, and operational users (e.g.: issuance, customer service, business help desk, adjudication, etc.) should participate in the more detailed courses offered by AAMVA regarding CDLIS.

|
This introductory session discusses various systems involved in the driver licensing process including CDLIS, PDPS, SSOLV, DIE, FEWS, CSTIMS, VLS and EVVER. Some of these systems are required under federal regulations, others are not required but provide additional levels of security and fraud prevention during the licensing process.

- Explain how the Operations Help Desk supports CDLIS

|
This course focuses on business impacts to the state’s processes and procedures, such as reporting driver convictions and withdrawals, and negations.

| CDLIS: Resolving Duplicate Pointers |
|
This course focuses on errors found in all areas in CDLIS including master pointer records, system errors, and jurisdiction data. Steps to resolve these errors including a discussion of Digital Imaging Exchange are discussed. There is also a discussion of current and future data validations.

|
This course deals with common types of errors that are occurring in the CDLIS message exchange environment and discusses appropriate remedies for these problems.

|
This course discussess the 10-year history check and DLN Survey used to complete the MCSIA required 10 year look back. Topics include:
- Identify 10 Year History Check requirements
- Describe how the 10 Year History Check and DLN Survey are used to complete the MCSIA required 10 year look back
- Explain the differences between MCSIA requirements for 10 Year History Check and DLN Survey of CDL holders, and PDPS and CDLIS checks of all drivers

| 3-Year Calculations for Serious Violations |
|
This CDLIS Advanced course that covers information pertaining to Table 2 of 49 CFR §383.51 Disqualifications for serious traffic violations and uses several examples to demonstrate how to properly determine and apply penalties for second and third serious convictions within 3 years. This course is recommended for those involved in the CDL program within their jurisdiction.

| CDLIS: Improving Data Quality |

Under the authority of Part 49 of the Federal Code of Regulations Subpart 384 Section 307 "FMCSA program reviews of State compliance" (49 CFR §384.307), the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration seeks to improve jurisdiction-maintained CDLIS Driver History Record (DHR) data quality. Topics in this course include:
